MODERN WAY OF TEACHING SHIATSU

Introduction

Hi, I am Naoko Vold. I have practiced Shiatsu Massage for more than 50 years.
I have served people from all walks of life, from highly stressed professionals to young athletes and hard-working mothers.
All people react similarly to receiving Shiatsu pressure when physically worn out.  Within ten minutes of Shiatsu, you feel like a breeze of fresh air flowing throughout the body; breathing becomes easy, and you feel like a new person again.  Everyone deserves to have this feeling when under stress.

Shiatsu uses the thumbs and palms of the hands to apply pressure on a certain point.
These points are called “Tsubo” (vital), correct muscles, and maintain and improve body movement.  Tsubo is invisible dents on muscles where the thumbs fit perfectly, and this pressure rejuvenates.
Tsubo therapy is a daily remedy you can do at home to help family members.  I aim to teach each household how to practice Shiatsu and relieve early stages of stress simply by using hand movements.

I have a modern way of teaching today’s Shiatsu.  You don’t have to know YIN, YANG, and MEDIRIAN.  I will show you how to use your hands to quickly relieve your family’s pain and stress.  Anyone can do it.
I have made sessions for everyday Shiatsu at home.

During the past decade we have been told healthy living is essential.  We need a good DIET (Antioxidants, Free Radical, Anti-Aging), because the food we eat in our regular meals has too much fat, sugar, salt, and comes in big potions.  Today there is much advice out there on how to eat healthy and on many type of exercise.  There are books, magazines, papers and TV shows.  The population that smokes, which is a bad habit it, has reduced.  In the medical field research has helped prevent different types of cancers in the past 50 years.  People want good health, energy and stamina.  My goal is to teach each household how to practice shiatsu and relieve the early stages of stress simply by using hand movements.

Hi! I am Naoko Vold

I have practiced shiatsu massage for more than 50 years. I have served people from all walks of life, ranging from highly stressed professionals to young athletes and hard-working mothers.

I have had training in shiatsu and anma (Japanese massage) for 2 years in a suburb of Tokyo in 1968.  My husband was in Detroit Michigan and he found my work before I arrived in Michigan. I have worked at women’s health club for shiatsu massage at the Town and Country Club, which is an exclusive Jewish social club for 6 years.
